I have the endearing fondness of my students due to my sincere and confident way of making education challenging, fun, and exciting. My teaching style exceeds what families expect and therefore I achieve much more with my students in all areas of education. My joy of completing curriculum requirements ages 4-12 provides a guaranteed outcome for students struggling prior to high school.
My tutoring experience is diversified! I have been teaching for over 50 years in America and overseas. Recently I began mentoring, tutoring, and facilitating teacher student relationships for the overall betterment of the child involved. As a past principal I understand many issues when it comes to the learning experience.
MY diverse background includes but is not limited too:
Third generation teacher, USAF military schools teaching programs, (1962) facilitating English in the Far East (1967), Alice in Wonderland and Canoga Park Kindergarten Director (1972, building and managing the first preschool through Kindergarten (The Wisdom Train Learning Center) (1977) in Hood River, Oregon, home schooling 12 years, Paradise Valley Unified school District( 2000-2011) and Tempe Unified School Districts in Arizona (2004-2013) special needs and core subjects. I was an independent contractor employed by a private tutoring company (2010-2013). I am currently working with the development of my Skype programs as well as select students with autism (2012-2015).
My Sister, Oregon office is easily accessible for students experiencing learning disabilities with child safety features including handicap accessibility. I presently skype nationally and am traveling to students within the Bend, Oregon and Phoenix, AZ. areas.
I am fondly known by my students as Doctor C. I bring into each environment a developmental program that provides hands-on exponential learning at a speed conducive to each child's learning speed, but clever and creative enough to accelerate scholastic achievement. Everyone sees positive changes toward academics within the first month of my instruction as students settles into my innovative approach and love for reading.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have hands on training with special needs youth for 15 years. My programs are highly successful and favorites with both students and family members as I also integrate music learning with scholastic lessons. I an training in ILS which uses music to accelerate calmness and learning.
I began my doctoral studies in education at George Fox and completed my PHD at Wilson State University 2013. I have enjoyed working with special needs at Tempe Unified and Paradise Valley School Districts in Phoenix and Mesa AZ. My past tutoring experience, primarily with special needs students, in Autism, ADD, and ADHD elementary age students encourages me to continue helping families with these issues.
I earned a Master of Divinity from Rocky Mount North Carolina Christian College in 2002.
The last 50 years I have been a teacher, administrator, and principal in schools. Developing and administering core standards for the states of Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, California, Maryland, and Oregon has qualified me to tailor my classes to meet and exceed the requirements necessary for grade advancement.
I am a seasoned teacher in multiple grades for the last 50 years teaching grades k-12 private, charter, public, and government classrooms.
I am presently working on a book with an autistic student that I wrote and he illustrated for publishing Christmas 2015.
My writing abilities also include two thesis' for my Masters and PHD. as well as a real enjoyment for written manuscripts.
I have Public speaking experience which involves debate club and I have assisted students to win public speaking contests in Arizona Junior and Senior High Schools.
Personally, I have over 20 years public speaking academically in the private, non-profit, and public school sector. I can help your student achieve their goals in public speaking a well as handle necessary self esteem development that parallels being confident in a public arena.
The ability to use time management in studying augments academic achievements. I have 50 years teaching grades k-12 private, charter, public, and government classrooms
I developed and taught the after school BELL Program in the Paradise Valley school district in 2010 which is now used as a core program to help students manage better study habits.
