If your student is struggling in classes and success seems a thing of dreams, Dr. B can help. The tenor of a classroom and a home can greatly affect attendance, engagement, and achievement, let Dr. B help.

I hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction and am formally trained in restorative practices by a trainer from the International Institute of Restorative Practices. 12 years of teaching utilizing project-based learning experience across elementary to high school exposed how family dynamics and childhood school experiences shape the way students engage with learning and parents engage with their student.

My doctoral research examined the challenges and successes of using restorative practices as alternatives to exclusionary discipline, leading me to develop a process that transforms family-student communication. Through this work, families and students build social-emotional awareness, accountable communication, and stronger relationships, turning past experiences into tools for resilience and growth.

My approach equips families to navigate current challenges while fostering long-term success in students academically, emotionally, and personally.

Executive Functioning

I help families unlock stronger connections and lasting growth through restorative practices, developed from years of working directly with families of my students. Our success rate in changing behaviors has exceeded 90%. I guide parents and students to turn past school experiences into insight and progress. Trauma from school can influence how parents and guardians perceive their student’s experience, shaping how they respond. I teach families to communicate with accountability, respect, and emotional clarity, using a facilitator to ensure conversations are focused on healing and repair. I also provide proven frameworks for resilience, social-emotional strength, and long-term success, built on over 12 years of experience in education. My doctorate and dissertation were driven by the success I have observed firsthand in utilizing restorative practices.
