Hello! My name is Adam. I am an Adjunct Instructor at Southern Oregon University and a private math tutor. I have a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's in Pure Math from University of Texas. While pursuing my masters, I worked on math research in Topological Quantum Computation, took many high level graduate math courses, and served as a TA for 10 different courses ranging from College Algebra to Discrete Math.

I tutor high school and college students in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB and BC, College level Calculus I, II and III, Linear Algebra, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, and Abstract Algebra. While tutoring, I review foundational concepts and formulas with students and then guide them through practice problems to improve their understanding and performance in their course.

I am a patient and relatable tutor, but I also have extensive knowledge of both basic and high level math concepts. I use my background to help provide additional examples and deeper understanding to my students as we review their material. My patient approach also helps students feel comfortable to ask questions to reinforce their understanding of the material.

My rate varies based on the subject, typically ranging between $40/hour for low level courses up to $100/hour for high level courses . Please contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a first lesson!

Great Tutor

Adam has been helping my son with Multi-Variable Calculus and Linear Algebra. He has been amazing, and my son feels much more solid in both. We are continuing to use him, and my son feels like he is very easy to work with. Definitely give Adam a chance because he makes difficult subjects manageable. His teaching style truly brings the information down to earth, and it’s been a blessing for us to find him! I cannot thank him enough for all he is doing!

Adam is the best

I am terrible at math, and somehow I made it to calculus 3 at at tech school. Being that I was lost on my first day, I came to Wyzant for tutoring and stumbled upon Adam. His reviews were great, so I gave him a try. After our first lesson I felt more confident and comfortable with what I was doing because of Adam. He is kind, funny, and very knowledgeable in his craft. I will continue to use him for the rest of this summer semester. If you need a tutor, please do not hesitate to use Adam. If you need a smart, calm, easy to understand, and direct tutor, use Adam!

Patient and approachable

Patient and very approachable. Open to feedback and good personality for my teen son! Need to provide input, depending on your child’s level of independence or communication skills, to ensure the desired material gets covered.
