I am a theatre artist, playwright, and creative writing tutor with over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages. I hold a BFA in Theatre & Original Works from Cornish College of the Arts and an MA in Shakespeare & Creativity from the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham. Alongside my academic training, I have built professional experience as a director, playwright, and educator, giving me a depth of practice comparable to MFA-level creative training. My background includes directing productions in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as creating original plays, adaptations, and writing projects. These experiences allow me to guide students not only in technical skill but also in confidence, creativity, and self-expression.

I have taught in classrooms, workshops, and one-on-one tutoring sessions with students from elementary through adult learners. My approach is supportive and adaptive, rooted in the belief that every student learns differently. In acting and theatre, I emphasize voice, text work, movement, and building authentic presence onstage. In writing, I help students develop their storytelling skills, from brainstorming and structure to refining grammar and style. Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child or a student pursuing your own creative goals, I tailor my methods to meet you where you are and help you succeed. Past students have described my sessions as both challenging and inspiring, and I take pride in creating an environment where learners feel motivated, supported, and excited to grow.

Acting

Acting

I hold a BFA in Theatre and an MA in Shakespeare & Creativity, with more than a decade of experience teaching acting to students from elementary through college. My professional work includes directing, coaching, and producing both classical and contemporary plays, including collaborations with the Royal Shakespeare Company. I specialize in helping students develop confidence, emotional truth, and strong text analysis skills, while tailoring my approach to their individual goals.
Classics

Classics

I studied Theatre at the undergraduate and graduate level, and I’ve worked closely with classical texts like Ovid’s Metamorphoses and Greek tragedies such as Antigone and Medea. I also explore how Shakespeare adapted stories from the ancient world, making them come alive for new audiences. My main strengths are mythology, epic stories, and drama, and I enjoy helping students see the connections between ancient myths and the stories we tell today.
Creative Writing

Creative Writing

I hold a BFA in Theatre with a concentration in Playwriting and Directing, as well as an MA in Shakespeare & Creativity that culminated in the writing and production of an original play. Beyond my formal training, I actively write poetry, short fiction, and long-form narratives, giving me a broad perspective across genres. I have been writing since childhood and have over five years of experience mentoring students in creative expression, helping them develop authentic voices, strong storytelling structures, and confidence in their craft.
Fiction Writing

Fiction Writing

I have been writing fiction since childhood and bring experience across multiple genres and styles. In addition to my short stories and long-form fiction, I have written and produced original plays, giving me professional experience in crafting narrative structure, character arcs, and dialogue. I have received feedback from professors and peers, and I specialize in helping students strengthen their sentence structure, plot design, and overall storytelling skills.
Theater

Theater

I hold a BFA in Theatre with concentrations in Acting, Playwriting, and Directing, as well as an MA in Shakespeare & Creativity, which culminated in writing and performing in a fully produced production. My theatre experience spans acting, directing, playwriting, and stagecraft, including design (costume, set, light, and sound), stage management, producing, and fight choreography. With more than a decade of professional and teaching experience, I bring a holistic understanding of theatre as both an art form and a collaborative practice.
