Hello! My name is Melina, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education at Oral Roberts University. I have completed over 79 college credit hours toward my degree and am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in math.
My classroom experience includes more than 40 hours observing experienced teachers in elementary and secondary classrooms, giving me valuable insight into effective teaching strategies and student learning. I have also volunteered as a tutor through Reading Partners, where I worked one-on-one with students to strengthen their reading skills. In addition, I am a Level 1 Google Certified Educator, demonstrating my ability to incorporate technology into learning in engaging and meaningful ways. Lastly, I have a micro-credential in secondary literacy intervention. I specialize in areas of math, including Elementary Math (K–6), Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I do not use a one-size-fits-all teaching approach. Instead, I tailor each lesson to fit the student's individual learning style, pace, and goals.
