I am an educator with more than 20 years of experience working with students, teachers, and educational leaders from elementary school through the college level. I hold a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Literacy and have dedicated my career to helping learners develop the reading, writing, and critical thinking skills they need to be successful. Throughout my career, I have served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, curriculum leader, assistant principal, and professional development coordinator, giving me a unique perspective on how students learn and how to support them effectively.

My passion is helping students become confident readers and writers. I specialize in literacy development, academic writing, reading comprehension, essay writing, research skills, and study strategies. Whether a student is struggling with a specific assignment, preparing for a major writing project, or simply looking to strengthen their skills, I believe in meeting them where they are and providing personalized support that builds both competence and confidence.

In addition to supporting K–12 and college students, I enjoy working with graduate and doctoral students on academic writing, research organization, literature reviews, APA formatting, and dissertation coaching. Having completed my own doctoral journey, I understand the challenges that come with advanced academic work and enjoy helping students break large projects into manageable steps. My goal is always to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel empowered to grow, succeed, and achieve their goals.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students across grade levels, supported struggling readers, coached teachers in evidence-based literacy practices, and developed curriculum to improve reading achievement. I understand that every student learns differently, and I enjoy finding the approach that best meets their individual needs while building both skills and confidence.
