After over 10 years of tutoring and 9 years of formal classroom teaching experience, I am looking to transition into fully independent teaching. My classroom success has always been with one to one or small group intervention settings, as I am by nature a relational teacher. I have my Masters degree and I am fully certified to teach K-8. Although My Master’s degree has qualified me to teach at the university level, I have found my passion and joy in early childhood and elementary education. I have tutored from Pre-K all the way up to and including the college level. I am a “go where I am needed, willing to learn” educator who is a team player and has the patience to help students achieve the goals set before them. For this reason, I am great at what I know, but always willing to grow.
I volunteer my time all the time within my church community, and I make it a habit to go on a mission trip to serve outside of the country every year. My first year in the classroom was in Pre-K within an education-childcare setting, with the higher grades up to 6th grade joining during after school hours. Ever since then, I have taught 9 years of kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. After school hours, I teach piano, vocals, bass, and electric guitar both individually and in small group settings.
