I am a dedicated musician and educator with a passion for helping students grow through both performance and thoughtful instruction. I began my collegiate studies at the University of Arkansas from 2017 to 2020, where I earned the Outstanding Composer Award in Spring 2019 and served as Song Leader and Pianist for the Alpha Omicron chapter of Phi Mu Alpha. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Music, with concentrations in piano and euphonium, at Oklahoma State University in 2024, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While at OSU I continued my involvement as Song Leader, Pianist, and Secretary of the Delta Tau chapter of Phi Mu Alpha and served as Vice President of the campus chapter of the National Association for Music Education. My musical foundation was built earlier at Owasso High School, where I received the John Philip Sousa Award, was named Outstanding Bandsman for the State of Oklahoma, and earned All-State recognition on euphonium three times.

Throughout college I gained extensive practical experience as a collaborative pianist, accompanying students every semester for recitals and juries at both the University of Arkansas and Oklahoma State University. I also performed with the University of Arkansas Wind Ensemble, led rehearsals and provided piano accompaniment for Phi Mu Alpha, and reached the semifinals of the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium Competition in 2018.

Since completing my degree I have taught mathematics for two years at Nathan Hale Middle School in Tulsa while continuing to share my love of music through private instruction. I taught piano to fellow college students for six years and, after graduation, have maintained an independent studio for two years, offering lessons both in person and online. I look forward to working with new students and supporting their musical development in a supportive, engaging environment.

Ear Training

Ear Training

As Song Leader for Phi Mu Alpha at both the University of Arkansas and Oklahoma State University, I regularly helped members develop their ability to hear and reproduce intervals accurately. Many of the men were not music majors—they were band members or general university students with an interest in music—so I focused on practical, accessible ways to train their ears. I also transcribed music for chapter arrangements, which required careful listening and the ability to recreate melodies and harmonies by ear. These experiences strengthened my skill in teaching ear training to students with widely varying levels of musical background.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I taught mathematics for two years as a public school teacher, working with students in the upper elementary and early middle-school age range. In addition, I have provided private tutoring for elementary students throughout my eight years of private tutoring, helping young learners build focus, confidence, and foundational skills. This combined classroom and one-on-one experience has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and keep students engaged. I create a patient, supportive environment that encourages steady progress for K-6 learners.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I taught mathematics for two years at Nathan Hale Middle School in Tulsa from 2024 to 2026, working with students on foundational skills that form the core of elementary math. This classroom experience helped me refine clear explanations, patient guidance, and ways to support learners at different levels of readiness. Drawing on that practical teaching background, I focus on building strong number sense, problem-solving habits, and student confidence. My approach emphasizes steady progress through structured, supportive instruction tailored to each learner’s needs.
Music Theory

Music Theory

I completed four semesters of music theory during my undergraduate studies, building a strong foundation in harmony, voice leading, form, and analysis. These courses allowed me to examine how theoretical concepts developed and how they apply to real musical works across different styles and periods. I regularly put this knowledge into practice while arranging music, accompanying performers, and teaching piano students how theoretical ideas support better reading, interpretation, and improvisation. Drawing on this formal training along with years of practical teaching and performance experience, I help students understand music theory in a clear, usable way that connects directly to their playing.
Piano

Piano

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in piano from Oklahoma State University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2024 after also studying at the University of Arkansas. Throughout college I served as a collaborative pianist, accompanying students every semester for recitals and juries at both universities, and regularly led rehearsals while providing piano accompaniment for Phi Mu Alpha. I also performed as a pianist with the University of Arkansas Wind Ensemble and have taught piano privately for eight years—six years to fellow college students and two years independently in my own studio, both online and in person. These experiences have given me deep practical expertise in piano performance, collaborative playing, and individualized instruction across a wide range of student levels.
Sight Singing

Sight Singing

I completed four semesters of sight-singing coursework in college and sang for two years in the University of Arkansas choir, building a strong foundation in accurate pitch, rhythm, and score reading. As Song Leader for Phi Mu Alpha at both the University of Arkansas and Oklahoma State University, I regularly taught the members how to sing together with precision, guiding them through rehearsals by demonstrating intervals, correcting parts, and helping them internalize the music. This hands-on leadership experience, combined with my formal training, allows me to teach sight-singing in a clear, practical way that works for students with or without prior vocal experience. Drawing on my Bachelor of Arts in Music and years of instructional work, I help learners develop confident, independent sight-singing skills they can apply immediately.
