I'm an experienced elementary math and science teacher with a true passion for helping students grow in both skills and confidence. With over six years in the classroom, I’ve had the privilege of working with students across various grade levels, but my focus has been on 4th-grade math and science. I hold a Bachelor’s in English Education and a Master’s in Translation and Interpreting, which has helped me understand how to make challenging content accessible for young learners. My teaching experience includes creating hands-on lessons that engage students of all abilities and teaching in ways that make abstract concepts clear and manageable.

In my classroom, I focus on meeting students where they are. I use data to identify specific areas for growth, adjusting lessons to ensure that each student makes meaningful progress. Last year, I saw students’ math proficiency soar above the district average, and many exceeded their expected growth targets—a result of individualized, targeted instruction. I also emphasize positive reinforcement and consistent encouragement, helping students overcome challenges and build their confidence.

As a tutor, I bring this same commitment to personalized learning. I believe every student has unique strengths and challenges, so I tailor my approach to fit their specific needs. I guide students through difficult topics, making sure they not only understand the material but feel empowered by their progress. I create a supportive, engaging environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. My goal is to help each student build a strong foundation in math and science, along with the confidence they need to succeed in and out of the classroom.
