I am a dedicated math tutor with experience working with students across a wide range of ages and skill levels, from elementary school through college. I have worked at Mathnasium, where I helped younger students build strong foundational skills, and I have also served as a math tutor at Rose State College, supporting college students in more advanced coursework. I have tutored subjects including pre-algebra, algebra, algebra II, trigonometry, precalculus, and occasionally calculus.

These experiences have allowed me to adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, whether they are developing core skills or tackling more complex mathematical concepts.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand the “why” behind the math. Rather than memorizing steps, I emphasize understanding concepts and theorems so students can apply them confidently in new situations. I also believe repetition is essential for mastery, so I incorporate consistent practice to reinforce learning and build problem-solving skills. I strive to create a supportive and structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges.

As someone on the autism spectrum, I have a strong ability to connect with and support students who are also on the spectrum, and I am mindful of different learning styles, pacing needs, and communication preferences. In addition to my tutoring experience, I am currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering with a minor in mathematics, which allows me to connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications.
