Hi, I’m Mrs. Jordan! I have a Bachelors Degree in English Education, as well as my teaching certification in Secondary English and Middle Grade Social Studies.
I taught for two years in a traditional public school classroom — one year teaching 8th and 9th grade English, and one year teaching 8th grade US History.
I also have two decades of combined experience as a dancer, choreographer and dance educator (including in competitive and collegiate settings).
Although I loved my classes of students, I realized that my truest enjoyment came from working individually with students. I have found that one-on-one collaboration with students can make all the difference in achieving understanding and growth. It’s important to me to identify the best pacing for each student that I work with, and to foster a learning environment that allows for trial and error, enjoyment of learning, and depth of knowledge.
