Hi there, my name is Morgan! I am a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Oklahoma City University. I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA from my master’s program at the University of North Texas and maintain a 3.8 GPA in my current doctorate program.
Over the years, I have prepared for and taken the GRE, written several graduate admissions essays, and tutored students in subjects from creative writing to abnormal psychology. I am a licensed addictions counselor and have been working with children, teens, and adults since early 2017. I have worked as a therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings and started my own coaching business in 2020 working with clients from diverse backgrounds in several states. I also work for the state of Oklahoma as a Behavioral Health and Assessment Clinician.
I have specialized knowledge in psychology, particularly in the areas of diagnosis, conceptualization, assessment, addiction, theory, and psychopathology. If you need help understanding concepts related to abnormal psychology, applying theory, utilizing assessment tools, or understanding basic research and design methods search no further! I can also help you prepare for the CPCE or state counseling licensing exams!
The areas of tutoring I am passionate about are reading assignments, editing papers, grammar corrections, writing admission essays, writing persuasive essays, writing psychological assessments, and guiding one through their thesis. I am especially well versed in APA.
I also have a certificate to teach English as a second language through a TEFL program. Through this experience I acquired the ability to not only help students learn the English language but also how to write proficiently in English.
