I am a senior Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Oklahoma on the pre-medical track, with a strong academic background in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. I also earned a 517 on the MCAT, which required me to develop a strong understanding of the foundational sciences as well as effective test-taking and problem-solving strategies. My engineering coursework has given me extensive experience applying mathematics and science to real problems, while my research experience has strengthened my ability to explain technical concepts clearly and logically.

I have been tutoring mathematics since 2024 in a university tutoring center, where I work primarily with college students in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I have helped students with topics ranging from algebra and precalculus to calculus and other quantitative coursework. My approach is to first identify exactly where a student’s understanding begins to break down rather than simply showing them how to complete a problem. I then work through the underlying concept step by step and have the student apply it to new problems so they can become confident solving similar questions independently.

I try to make tutoring collaborative and low-pressure. I know that difficult STEM courses can become frustrating when one missing concept makes everything that follows feel confusing. My goal is to help students understand not only what steps to take, but why those steps work. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for an exam, strengthening their fundamentals, or working through challenging material, I adapt each session to their current level and learning style.

MCAT

I earned a 517 on the MCAT and am a senior Biomedical Engineering student on the pre-medical track at the University of Oklahoma. My preparation required a strong command of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, psychology/sociology, and passage-based reasoning. I have also worked as a university math tutor since 2024, which has given me extensive experience breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps and adapting explanations to different students. I can help students strengthen content knowledge, analyze passages more effectively, identify weaknesses, and develop a structured approach to MCAT practice and review.
