I graduated summa cum laude from Springfield College with a 3.97 GPA, earning a B.S. in Sport Management with minors in Sports Analytics and Computer Science. Throughout college, I developed a strong background in statistics, data analysis, programming, sports analytics, and tennis. I have applied these skills in several professional and academic settings, including football, baseball, basketball, and sports science analytics roles. I have experience using R, Python, and Excel for statistical analysis and data-driven problem solving, and I enjoy making technical concepts understandable rather than simply giving students an answer.
My approach to tutoring is centered around meeting students where they are and adapting to how they learn best. I focus on explaining the reasoning behind a problem step by step, using examples and questions to help students develop an understanding they can apply independently. For tennis, I played Division III collegiate tennis and competed at approximately an 8–9 UTR level, and I have experience coaching both private and group lessons for children and adults ranging from ages 5 to 50. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence while still making meaningful progress.
Whether I am helping a student understand a statistics concept, work through an R programming problem, or improve their tennis game, my goal is to make the material approachable and practical. I believe students learn best when they understand not just what to do, but why they are doing it.
