My name is Anabel, and I am a college student who is very excited about the opportunity to tutor you or your child! I am a high achiever in my personal academic pursuits, having maintained above a 3.9 GPA in both high school and college, and I would love to pass on whatever I can to the next generation.

I am a junior at the University of Oklahoma studying philosophy on the Pre-Law track. I am a 2023 graduate from Jenks High School, and I was a National Merit Finalist as well as a two-time AP Scholar. On the ACT, I earned a 36 in English and a 35 in Reading, and on the PSAT, I earned a 740/760 on the English portions. I also earned a 5 on the AP exams for AP English Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, AP Music Theory, and AP US Government and Politics. I am able to tutor students in preparation for any of these tests and courses, as well as general English, Choir/Drama, History, and Government courses. I have tutored my peers in these subjects for 7 years, and I am very well suited to teach these subjects in an understandable and relatable manner, give test-taking strategies that produce high scores, and prepare students for both in-classroom activities as well as standardized tests.

I have been a substitute teacher in Norman, OK for a year now, and I have learned skills such as classroom management, one-on-one tutoring strategies, and ways to effectively communicate complicated ideas and subject matters. I intend to work closely with parents and guardians to create personalized lesson plans for students that will most optimally help them grow and learn at a pace that feels comfortable. I am comfortable tutoring any student K-12, and I have experience working with ages 3-18. I also have experience with children with autism and other developmental conditions. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to empower the next generation of academics, and I pledge to respond quickly, address concerns with care and respect, and ensure I am doing everything possible to help you or your child!
