Hi, I'm Liz! I'm a PhD candidate at the University of Oklahoma (OU) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I have been a teaching assistant at OU since 2016, and have taught undergraduate laboratories in Introductory Biology, Introductory Zoology, Introductory Ecology, Human Anatomy, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Research in Ecology, and Field Methods in Conservation. I enjoy scientific and technical writing, and I'm happy to offer writing and editing support, especially for scientific grants and papers. I am also happy to help consult on research projects. In addition to my science research background, I am also able to tutor up to Intermediate Mandarin, which I have studied since my childhood. I have studied abroad in Chinese-speaking countries four times for a cumulative 18 months, three of which were funded by fellowships from the federal government.
I received a BA with Highest Honors from Smith College in 2016 in Biological Sciences, with a concentration in Biodiversity, Ecology, and Conservation. I expect to defend my doctoral dissertation in November of this year.
