While not a formally educated teacher, I've been tutoring and teaching since the late 90s, and have a natural aptitude for connecting with students and figuring out their "learning language." I have been tutoring as my sole source of income since 2005, and thoroughly enjoy connecting with students and helping them to "see the light."

While not a formally educated teacher, I've been tutoring and teaching since the late 90s, and have a natural aptitude for connecting with students and figuring out their "learning language." I have been tutoring as my sole source of income since 2005, and thoroughly enjoy connecting with students and helping them to "see the light."

I have had over a thousand clients in the past two decades, and while I've tutored kids from 6th grade on up, my preference now is to help college kids or upperclass high school students.

I have a BS in Zoology and a MPH in Biostatistics/Epidemiology, and I've been an adjunct professor at both Oklahoma City Community College and OU, where I taught College Algebra, Statistics, Trigonometry and Calculus 3-4.

My certification as an Academic Life Coach allows me to help students identify goals and their limiting beliefs around them, and to identify areas to improve in study skills and time management. I strive to incorporate tips and tricks about how to set up a lifestyle for academic success in all of my sessions.

I'm also on a personal life mission to help demystify statistics - it's just NOT that hard, no matter what anybody tells you! :-)

Calculus

Calculus

I have been tutoring high school and college calculus students privately as my sole source of income since 2005. I have taught Calc 3/4 at a local community college, and I am proficient in differential and integral calculus. I have funny, silly ways to remember the derivative and anti-derivative rules, and ways to help you tackle the rigors of a calculus curriculum -- along with balancing your other courseload requirements AND a social life. I incorporate study skills, intrinsic motivation techniques, and tips to beat procrastination into all of my sessions.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have been tutoring high school and college precalculus students privately as my sole source of income since 2005. I have taught precalculus at a local community college, and I am proficient in explaining math many different ways, depending on your unique "learning language." I have funny, silly ways to remember certain concepts, and ways to help you tackle the rigors of a precalculus curriculum -- along with balancing your other courseload requirements AND a social life. I incorporate study skills, intrinsic motivation techniques, and tips to beat procrastination into all of my sessions.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I've been tutoring as my sole source of income since 2005, and tutored on the side since the late 90s. I have helped countless students review, refresh, learn and understand how to tackle the math portion of the SAT. There isn't too much of a "magic bullet," but with some practice, sharpened skills, and a study plan I help you implement, the SAT math can be yours to dominate.
Statistics

Statistics

My mission is to demystify statistics! I've taught Introduction to Statistics at the college level for 10 years, and have been privately tutoring both high school and college students in statistics for 25 years. I know how to "breathe life" into the concepts, and how to stress the most important things to know to make the "formulas" much easier to comprehend and learn. Let me make statistics fun for you.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Let's learn to love the Unit Circle! Trigonometry makes the world go 'round, and explaining a few simple tricks to learn major concepts is what gets me out of bed in the morning. I have been tutoring high school and college trigonometry students privately as my sole source of income since 2005. I have taught trigonometry at a local community college, and I am proficient in explaining math many different ways, depending on your unique "learning language." I have funny, silly ways to remember certain concepts, and ways to help you tackle the rigors of a trigonometry curriculum -- along with balancing your other courseload requirements AND a social life. I incorporate study skills, intrinsic motivation techniques, and tips to beat procrastination into all of my sessions. Along with fun. Yes, math can be fun.
