I am an incoming dental student with a bachelor's in Health and Exercise Science and a master's in Business Administration. As a former student-athlete, I have learned a variety of communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics in simple, understandable terms, and the ability to explain lessons in multiple, different ways if necessary.
As a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I am able to connect with this generation of students and understand well the pressures and stress they place upon themselves to succeed. I graduated with an undergraduate GPA of 3.98, including A's in Chem 1 w/ lab, Chem 2 w/ lab, Organic Chem 1 w/ lab, Organic Chem 2 w/ lab, Biochem w/ lab, Physics 1 w/ lab, Physics 2 w/ lab, Anatomy w/ lab, Physiology w/ lab, and Exercise Physiology. I was able to accomplish this while maintaining the lifestyle of a student-athlete, earning numerous awards, including the Dr. Gerald Lage academic award (the highest honor given to athletes in the Big 12 conference), a CoSIDA Academic All-District award (the precursor to Academic All-American), and 5 first team academic All-Big 12 awards.
Although I do not have any experience with tutoring as a job, I often helped explain complex topics to my classmates throughout my college and high school education. I am very passionate about helping students understand topics, and it brings me great satisfaction to help students reach that "lightbulb" moment when suddenly things make sense. I would love to help you reach that "lightbulb" moment too!
