I currently teach middle school students and have classroom experience in geography, social studies, writing support, study skills, graphic design, marketing, and general academic support.
In the classroom, I work with students who have a wide range of learning styles and ability levels. I focus on breaking assignments into manageable steps, explaining concepts in more than one way, and helping students understand the reasoning behind an answer rather than simply giving them the answer. I have experience helping middle school students strengthen writing, reading comprehension, organization, study habits, and confidence with schoolwork.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and structured. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions while also learning how to work more independently. I especially enjoy working with middle school students who feel overwhelmed, struggle with organization, or simply need concepts explained in a different way.
