I am an experienced educator with approximately ten years of online and classroom teaching experience in English, business, and mathematics. From 2011 through 2021, I taught learners from varied cultural backgrounds and proficiency levels through independent instruction and organizations including EF, Web International, and Meten. My teaching experience includes explaining unfamiliar concepts clearly, following structured curricula, evaluating student work, documenting progress, and providing specific written and verbal feedback.
My educational background includes a PhD in Management–Finance and an MPhil in Management from Walden University, an MBA from Philadelphia University, and a BSBA from the University of Arkansas. I have also completed several years of preclinical medical education. This multidisciplinary background allows me to assist students with English, business and professional communication, academic writing, research organization, presentations, management, finance, and related subjects.
My approach is patient, structured, and responsive to each student’s goals. I begin by identifying what the student already understands, where the difficulty is occurring, and what successful improvement would look like. I then break the material into manageable steps, use relevant examples, check comprehension throughout the lesson, and provide actionable feedback that the student can apply independently. I especially enjoy helping university students, adult learners, and professionals communicate complex ideas more clearly and confidently.
