I'm Brennan! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History and another Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in European Studies and another minor in Law & Legal Studies. I have a passion for all things humanities, as I love to learn how people think and work! I love history because of the stories that it holds, which are true representations of how humans behave, with real heroes and villains affecting the world we live in today. I also love all things languages for the same reason. My Spanish is very good, and I've taken classes in Biblical Greek and Hebrew with lots of practice as well. I received a 36 on my ACT scores in Reading and English, and I understand how these tests work very well.
I have experience tutoring Spanish with a family in my college town, which ranged in age from around 10 to 17. I was also a teacher's assistant for a New Testament class during my undergraduate degree, and so I have experience with supporting lessons, grading assignments, and providing feedback to students. I have also been very helpful to fellow students in my language classes when they were struggling, and have explained hard concepts to them with great results. I love leading students to the correct response rather than telling it to them, and the "aha!" moment I receive gives me a great sense of accomplishment. I want to help students meet their goals by providing real practice, giving detailed explanations, and answering their questions with patience and understanding. I've seen many people slow down in learning due to not being able to practice sufficiently, and I want to make sure my students are able to grow and progress well!
