I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from Oklahoma State University (OSU), as well as a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Southern California (USC). My strong academic foundation, especially in math-intensive subjects, enables me to confidently tutor in mathematics, engineering, and related areas.

My teaching experience spans multiple settings and age groups. I taught Algebra at Northern Oklahoma College (an OSU satellite campus) and Pre-Algebra and Algebra I at Stillwater Junior High School in Oklahoma. During my undergraduate years, I served as a tutor and head coordinator for the Mathematics Learning Resource Center (MLRC) at OSU, where I supported students in subjects ranging from basic algebra to advanced calculus. I also tutored student-athletes in both mathematics and engineering through OSU’s Athletic Department. In graduate school, I further refined my instructional skills as a teaching assistant in addition to continued tutoring through OSU's Athletic Department.

My approach to tutoring emphasizes patience, adaptability, and encouragement. I believe that every student can succeed in math with the right method and support, and I take pride in helping students build both skill and confidence. I tailor my teaching style to each learner’s needs, often using multiple strategies to clarify challenging concepts. In addition to math, I am highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, a tool I use daily in my engineering work, and I enjoy sharing practical tips and techniques to help others become more efficient and confident in using it.

I coached competitive fastpitch softball for over ten years ranging in ages from 10U through 18U. My primary focus was 16U and 18U with specializations in slapping (left handed slap hitters), outfielders, and catchers. I played division 1 softball where I was an outfielder and slapper but growing up I was a catcher for many years and continued to catch our pitchers at practice while I was in college. I love one-on-one instruction and would be happy to help if you need some individualized practice.
