I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from Oklahoma State University (OSU), as well as a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Southern California (USC). My strong academic foundation, especially in math-intensive subjects, enables me to confidently tutor in mathematics, engineering, and related areas.
My teaching experience spans multiple settings and age groups. I taught Algebra at Northern Oklahoma College (an OSU satellite campus) and Pre-Algebra and Algebra I at Stillwater Junior High School in Oklahoma. During my undergraduate years, I served as a tutor and head coordinator for the Mathematics Learning Resource Center (MLRC) at OSU, where I supported students in subjects ranging from basic algebra to advanced calculus. I also tutored student-athletes in both mathematics and engineering through OSU’s Athletic Department. In graduate school, I further refined my instructional skills as a teaching assistant in addition to continued tutoring through OSU's Athletic Department.
My approach to tutoring emphasizes patience, adaptability, and encouragement. I believe that every student can succeed in math with the right method and support, and I take pride in helping students build both skill and confidence. I tailor my teaching style to each learner’s needs, often using multiple strategies to clarify challenging concepts. In addition to math, I am highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, a tool I use daily in my engineering work, and I enjoy sharing practical tips and techniques to help others become more efficient and confident in using it.
