I was born in the Philippines in 1973 but lived most of my childhood in San Diego, CA. I was 15 years old when my father retired from the Navy and we moved to Oklahoma. Growing up I have always been artistic. I graduated from Rogers State University in 2014 with a Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design. Since graduating in 2014, I have been working as a Freelance Graphic Designer and Printmaker while working at home gives me time for my family it also gives me creative freedom without being restricted.
Recently, I have been teaching printmaking at the “Tulsa Art Center”. I enjoy watching others create their prints, and helping them learn different techniques on printmaking. In addition, it helps me to stay inspired and work on my own pieces at home.
My philosophy about art has always been inspired by a quote by Emile Zola (1840-1902), “The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without the work”.
