I'm a certified high school math teacher in Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a 4.0 GPA in my Master's program in Mathematics Education at Northeastern State University. My graduate coursework includes Mathematics Pedagogy, Fundamentals of Curriculum Development, and advanced content courses in Algebra and Functions and Geometry and Measurement — work that deepens both my content knowledge and my understanding of how students actually learn math. I hold a Standard Teaching Certificate in Intermediate Mathematics and am currently working toward my Advanced Mathematics certification.

Over the past five years, I have taught Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Statistics and Probability, Math of Personal Finance, and Precalculus in a fully virtual public high school, working with students in grades 9–12 in both whole-class and one-on-one settings. Alongside my classroom work, I have five years of private tutoring experience, both virtually and in person. I was named Teacher of the Year at my school site, which reflects the investment I bring to every student I work with.

My approach is grounded in Jo Boaler's Mathematical Mindset framework, which prioritizes genuine understanding over memorizing steps. I work directly with students on their own homework and assignments, identify where gaps exist, and design personalized practice when needed. The feedback I hear most is that I make math make sense — and that's exactly what I aim for every session. Whether a student is behind, rebuilding confidence, or just needs things explained differently, I adapt to meet them where they are.
