I am a certified Oklahoma high school life science teacher with 9 years of classroom experience, and I’ve had the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects including Biology, Zoology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Introductory Chemistry. Early in my career, I was honored to be recognized as an Oklahoma “20 Under 2” award recipient, highlighting top teachers in their first two years of teaching.
While I enjoy all areas of science, Anatomy & Physiology is my favorite subject to teach. I love helping students understand how the body works in a way that actually makes sense—not just memorizing terms, but truly connecting ideas.
I specialize in working with students who are struggling or feeling behind in their science classes. Many of my students come to me frustrated or lacking confidence, and one of my biggest strengths is helping them break down difficult concepts into simple, clear steps. I focus on making science approachable and understandable so students can build confidence and start succeeding on their own.
In addition to content support, I also help students develop strong study habits and test-taking strategies. I have experience with ACT science test prep and enjoy helping students improve both their understanding and their performance under pressure.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and highly practical. I meet students where they are, identify gaps quickly, and tailor each session to what they need most—whether that’s preparing for an upcoming test, catching up in class, or building a stronger foundation for the future.
If your student needs help making sense of science, building confidence, or improving test performance, I would love to help.
