I entered my music education journey at the beginning of the covid shutdown. It was a difficult time when the arts were pushed to the back burner, but my positive experiences in band and my passion for music helped me to persevere. I received my bachelor's degree in Music Education in 2024. Throughout my undergrad I taught private lessons, masterclasses, and worked as a woodwind technician at a local high school. After my student teaching and my graduation I pursued a Masters of Multiple Woodwind Performance where I continued to teach privately and at an afterschool orchestra program where I taught sectionals, masterclasses, and workshops. In my time at both institutions I performed in wind ensembles, orchestras, operas, musical pit orchestras, polka bands, jazz bands, instrument specific ensembles (saxophone choir, clarinet choir, etc.), and various quartets and quintets.
After my graduation from Oklahoma City University, I have developed a passion for one-on-one teaching and am working to build up a thriving studio that encourages confidence, musicality, passion, and an understanding of music and the good it does for communities.
