My love of teaching comes from a tremendous desire to help young people pursue their dreams and overcome obstacles along the way. As a teacher of Mathematics for 25 years and AP Statistics for 14 years, I've had the pleasure of helping thousands of students realize their own potential and see their grades and test scores improve.

While I have taught almost all mathematics subjects during my teaching career, I believe that my strength is in teaching Statistics. I have been teaching AP Statistics since 2002, and currently serve as a reader for the AP Statistics exam each June. I also currently teach Statistics, College Algebra and Technical Trigonometry at the college level. I find teaching to be both rewarding and exciting.

I specialize in tutoring Math including, but not limited to, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Statistics.

I am generally available every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and I can travel to students or meet them online. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies.

Well organized with lesson plans, well versed in her subject matter

Lynette presents as a well organized and knowledgeable educator; able to explain material with examples and demonstrations that are understandable to the student. Covered assignment for doctoral level statistics class covering ANOVA and T-Tests. Excellent instructor!

Good lesson

My son was very happy at how much he was able to understand. He's struggling at school and now he’s looking forward to more lessons. Lynette was informative and patient. Also the feature of recording the lesson is great.

Prepared, Patient, Proficient, and Personable

I set up several more sessions to carry me through the semester - so, I've cast my vote. Lynette, in aptitude and attitude, is a terrific complement and accelerant to studies in statistics.

Incredibly Skilled and Supportive Tutor

Lynette has been instrumental in helping my daughter get through some difficult challenges in AP Statistics. Not only is Lynette highly skilled and experienced, she also brings a significant amount of consideration and care to her students. A friend highly recommended Lynette, after she helped our friend achieve excellent scores in her college statistics class, so we reached out to Lynette for help. My daughter was in a difficult situation from a concussion and Lynette jumped on board to help us through the issues. She has been very responsive and extremely thorough in helping my daughter. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. We are deeply grateful for her support.

Amazing Tutor!!!

Lynette is so knowledgeable and personable and really breaks things down to make it easy to comprehend the material. She is warm, enthusiastic and caring and dedicated to problem solving and creative in her approach to finding the best way to break down complicated formulas and mathematical concepts of, to a math novice ‘gibberish’ into familiar ‘words’ and simple language that the student can really understand and relate to and process. I have been struggling with a statistics course. And she has come to my rescue. She is patient and thorough and really knows how to teach empathetically to the students needs and issues. A rare find! It's one thing to know the material and have the degree to teach but another thing altogether to be able to actually TEACH!. I am so happy to have found her! Addendum- I returned to school 20 years post college graduation to complete a Probability and Statistics course that is required for entry into a graduate program I am applying to. I was never a ‘math’ person; I didn’t have a great experience or aptitude for numbers. I also added the statistics course late - 3 weeks in and the professor moved at a rapid pace. I was panicked and overwhelmed but Lynette helped me battle through the course and I am beyond amazed and overjoyed to say that I received an A for my final semester grade! (And I was just hoping to pass with a C.) Well done, Lynette! I have you to thank for my success. You are truly the best teacher I have ever had and it has been an honor to work with you.
