I am a biology professor who loves to work with students!

I have always really enjoyed teaching and tutoring, and have spent most of my career working with students in middle school, high school, and college on help with math and science classes. My PhD is in biology, and I currently teach anatomy and physiology at the college level. In the past, I have taught genetics, microbiology, and general biology as well. I have helped students with AP biology prep, as well as test taking skills and study techniques to help them approach material differently. As a professor, I have seen many intelligent students who struggle due to misunderstanding their own learning style, and being unsure how to approach new material that they do not understand. With most students, that's where I like to begin!

I am also interested in helping students become excited about the material they are learning, and figure out how it connects to the world around them. I try to relate the content they are studying to personal experiences and the "real world", so that they can appreciate why the subject they are working on might be relevant to them.

I have a PhD in biology, and I have taught biology in one form or another (tutor, teaching assistant, lab instructor, professor) for the last 10 years. I have taught a variety of age groups, as well as students from varying backgrounds, so I am very flexible when it comes to unique learning styles and interests.
