I am a bit of a language wiz and it's something I really enjoy learning and teaching. I took 4 years of French and 2 years of Spanish in high school, allowing me to have academic fluency in one and moderate proficiency in Spanish. In addition to that, I learned conversational and basic written Arabic primarily while teaching English to Saudi graduate students and Syrian refugees. I can teach you some tricks to language learning that have helped me to get where I am, as well as teaching you the intricacies of the language you wish to learn.
I spent 2 years teaching Syrian refugees English, who had a very basic level, and 2 years prior to that helping Saudi graduate students prepare for the IELTS and TOEFL.
I scored a C1 on the Test de Connaissance de Français, indicating fluency, and have been accepted to a French university (la Sorbonne). I traveled to France to do anthropological work and communicated with the French scientists on site. I have written a 20 page linguistics paper in French, which helped me to earn my International Baccalaureate Diploma. I communicated While in high school, I was moved up to a higher level of French because I picked it up very rapidly. I was sometimes asked to help teach the lower levels of French and tutored students that were struggling after school.
