I am a graduate from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus in Vocal Performance. During my college years, I have performed in different venues with prestigious vocalist and musicians from Detroit, Michigan. I am a graduate from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus in Vocal Performance. During my college years, I have performed in different venues with prestigious vocalist and musicians from Detroit, Michigan. I learned not only the theory of vocal performance, but the precise vocal technique and the art of live performance. Since graduation, I have collaborated with secular and religious entities to strengthen the knowledge of students on their journey to develop their own voice and how to use it properly and effectively.
As an immigrant, I can understand the complexity of learning in a different language and what it takes to achieve your goals in Spanish as a second language. In my experience, helping students find interest in a new language and how to communicate and learn from other cultures, is what has inspired me as an instructor and as a live performer. I am a strong believer that anyone can learn successfully with consistency in practice and patience over time. I am currently applying to obtain my certification in Spanish from the Institute of International Spanish language, but as a native from Ecuador, I am able to help students understand the basic concepts of reading, writing and speaking in all levels and experience. In my spare time, I study voiceover and how to play around with your voice.

I am most passionate about vocal exercises, the use of proper vocal techniques and choosing the right repertoire to amplify the beauty of your voice. In my experience, helping students find their unique voices no matter what genre, is what has inspired me as an instructor and as a live performer. I am a strong believer that anyone can learn how to sing and project their voice with consistency in practice and patience over time. In my spare time, I study voiceover and how to play around with your voice. I enjoy hiking with my dogs, working out and singing while I cook (of course).

Brenda is working with someone who has never had voice lessons. It has been enjoyable. The voice exercises are challenging and fun. She has also assigned homework to do each day to prepare for the next lesson.

brenda is a very nice teacher

i really enjoyed the time we spent together. brenda gave me more than i could ever have watching youtube or reading books. she's very patient and kind. however she does not forgive me my mistakes. she controls every my step to get the best result from me. i'm really impressed with her skills as a vocal teacher. i definitely want to continue working with her.
