I have a MS in Theoretical Chemistry from Ohio State and a BS in Chemistry from Kent State.
I am currently an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Columbus State Community College, where I teach general and Introductory Chemistry. I’ve been teaching there for two years. I like to mix up my lecture with videos, chemical models, and in-class demonstrations. I also was the lab instructor.
I also did tutoring for one semester at the Columbus State Library.
My students were mainly college freshman, but some were older students who wanted to change their career. My class sizes varied from 4 to 21.
Previously, I worked as an Information Scientist at Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), developing and processing large-scale chemical databases for academia and the chemical industry. My work focused on chemical supplier data, including structure standardization, validation, and integration into the CAS Registry.
