I have worked as a substitute educator, as a nanny for children ages one through eighteen and most recently as an assistant teacher at Learning Care Group. As an educator building rapport with my students and teaching content rich lessons has been one of the greatest joys of my career. I have watched students grow from being nonverbal to communicating in full sentences.
Reading, Writing, English, Proofreading and Vocabulary are all about patience. As a tutor I work with students to create strategies. Cite word flash cards, rereading sentences and using prior knowledge are common strategies I have used in the past. I also build rapport with students, using their interests to encourage learning.
