Hi! I'm Maeley, a passionate educator with over five years of experience teaching and tutoring students from Pre-K through 8th grade. I specialize in English (particularly phonics) and math instruction. I'm currently completing my Bachelor's Degree in Education, which I'll receive in November 2025. I've proudly maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my college career and have passed Praxis Core Math and Reading exams, demonstrating my strong foundational knowledge in both areas. I've also completed a semester of classroom observation, giving me practical insight into effective instructional strategies and classroom management. As part of my program, I have taken coursework that focuses on Structured Literacy and the Orton-Gillingham approach, learning how to deliver systematic, multisensory instruction to support students with reading difficulties and dyslexia. I also have three years of Pre-K teaching experience and two years of tutoring experience. I use research-based programs such as Phonics First for reading and Math-U-See for math instruction.

My tutoring style is warm, engaging, and individualized. I believe that every child can succeed when given the right tools and encouragement, and I tailor each lesson to the student's needs, learning style, and goals.
