Conveying hard concepts in an easy to understand manner has been a passion of mine all throughout my education and professional career. While at Akron during both undergrad as a chemistry major and then law school, I was a tutor and have already had much enjoyment from teaching students. After undergrad I attended Case Western University where I completed a master's degree in Pharmacology specializing in breast cancer drug design.

While at Akron during both undergrad as a chemistry major and then law school, I was a tutor and have already had much enjoyment from teaching students. After undergrad I attended Case Western University where I completed a master's degree in Pharmacology specializing in breast cancer drug design.

I recognize that hard work and consistency is the common denominator when it comes to academic success.

After becoming an attorney and passing both the bar exam and patent bar exam, I became and still am a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office specializing in biomedical engineering patents.

My subjects of specialty are chemistry and organic chemistry. I currently work with the biggest companies in the world to help secure their intellectual property rights for years to come, and do so by condensing their high level ideas into information which allows the public to understand their patents by reading them.
During my sessions with students, I want them to reinforce what they have learned and from there be able to branch out to harder problems. I think that a student who is challenged by a problem will learn more quickly when they have an understanding of the basics. A strong foundation is always helpful.

I am a professional, and I believe in honest work. This is why I love to hear feedback from students. If a lesson does not satisfy a student or parent then I will not charge them for the session.

I have a flexible schedule and can make time to see students. I do have a 12-hour cancellation policy, but if a lesson is missed then a makeup session can be scheduled.

While at the University of Akron, I have served as a Learning Assistant to Organic Chemistry. My responsibilities included running two hour review sessions before each exam for all the students. I also held office hours each week in order to help them with their homework. I have done this for over a year now.

Superb Tutor

I am very pleased to speak about the great lengths Tyler went to ensure I understood the material (Algebra) he was tutoring. We spent a total of six weeks together and at the end of our time together, I feel as though I have gained a solid understanding of the concepts. He was kind, courteous and always prompt.
