My name is Kevin K. and I am 41 years old. I graduated from the Ohio State University and I am a die-hard Buckeyes fan! As you can tell I am a sports nut and really enjoy watching soccer, football, and hockey. I coach high school and recreation soccer pretty much year round. I enjoy working out and currently play in an “old men’s” over thirty soccer league. I love listening to music, mainly classic rock and alternative music and one day hope to learn how to play the guitar. I have a great sense of humor and a positive approach on life. I am married and have three children ages 17, 15, and 9. They all play soccer and my oldest is going to college this fall to play for Mount St. Joseph's soccer team.
I am a licensed Social Worker and really enjoy my job. I also have a Master’s degree in Business but if I could do it all over again I would be a teacher as I truly love helping kids learn and discover new things they didn’t know they were capable of. I have worked with kids throughout my career teaching and training them to learn new skills to be more knowledgeable and independent. I currently manage a program for young adults with developmental disabilities. I work to improve their academic skills, social skills, work skills, and overall their independence. There are 45 individuals in my program with many different disabilities, ranging from high to low functioning. Each individual is unique and learns in a different way. I take pride in building a rapport with each individual and finding the best way to help them learn. I believe my patience and laid back nature is what makes me good at connecting with these young adults.
Although I am not a teacher, through my education, experience, and coaching background I have learned how to connect with kids and help them to reach their full potential.
