Hello prospective students!
I am Naveen, a current medical school applicant and masters student at the University of Toledo studying Medical Sciences. I graduated from Case Western Reserve University majoring in chemical engineering and worked full-time as a manufacturing engineer in the aviation industry until I started graduate school.
I recently took the MCAT, where I excelled in the science sections(128 Bio/Biochem and 127 Chem/Phys) and especially the Psych/Soc section, where I scored a 131(97th percentile). I look forward to sharing my techniques to improve this section, as it is my specialty. I also improved this section by 6 points(From 125 to 131) in a short two months, and this section is the easiest to improve on the exam. I will show students how to use resources such as spaced repetition, passage analysis, and test-taking strategies. I am a big fan of flashcards, and I look forward to teaching students how to use them to remember small details for the exam.
Additionally, I am a chemistry nerd. I have three years of General Chemistry teaching experience, and by the time I was a senior I was the head/most experienced TA at my university. I have had the pleasure of teaching/mentoring over 140 students and getting them caught up on difficult concepts such as equilibrium, kinetics, and reaction chemistry. I will be able to tutor junior high, high school, and college chemistry.
