English Teacher who loves Theater, Shakespeare and Literature!

I am an enthusiastic and original teacher. I have taught for 34 years and I love to make my subjects exciting for the student.
I am short and round, usually shorter than many of my students, but I try to teach in a way that they can look up to me!!!
I like to tell stories when I teach my lessons--I find that it's much easier than just giving a lecture--BORING! I hope that when
my students learn from me, they remember their lessons because I make it interesting and personal to them.

I have taught English at two different schools--Lumen Christi in Jackson, Michigan, and Central Catholic High School in Toledo.
I just recently decided to move to part-time work. I love the idea of working with a student one-on-one. I think it's easier for the student
to learn if there are no other students or classroom noises distracting them from their work. I love to read, to write, to act, to sing and I
like to share those loves with other people. Because I'm a teacher, an actress, a singer and a stage director, I use those skills in my teaching.
I want the people I teach to love what they're learning! It can't always be exciting, though--sometimes you have to dig in and work hard to
master whatever it is you're trying to learn. But it's with all those different kinds of teaching methods that we learn best.

I want to make a difference in the lives of the students who I teach.
