Hello, I am Ryan. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Secondary Education. I have been teaching High School Science in the subjects of Biology, Ecology, and Physical Science for nine years. I am a patient and encouraging tutor who is passionate about making sure that students build confidence in trying to understand complex scientific concepts. I know that all students learning differently, and I always tailor my teaching approach in the classroom to each of the learner's needs, strengths, and goals.
My main teaching style involves breaking down scientific processes, such as cellular processes, ecosystems, and energy flow and matter in step-step explanations, and try to connect them to real-world examples that students can relate too. I always take time to meet students where they are and guide them every step of the way.
I can help students with class or homework assignments, studying for quizzes or tests, breaking down scientific concepts, learning how to think through problems, and help them feel more confident in science class. My sessions are always relaxed, student focused, and supportive. Questions are always welcomed and encouraged. I always celebrate with the students as they learn throughout the entire process. By the end of the sessions, my goal is that students not only gain knowledge and become more confident in science class, but also feel more confident in themselves.
