I began my teaching career as a reading teacher. From that experience I received a Master's Degree in counseling. After counseling for 10 years or more, I was promoted to the position as Assistant Principal of Glenn Middle School where I served for 10 years.

I retired from Miles College June, 2012, only because of life changing situations. (I am a survivor of the mighty tornado that raged through Birmingham, AL). I relocated here, where I have family.
