Pursuing Math and Physics BS, Heavily involved in tutoring!

I am currently a 4.0 student studying mathematics and physics at Case Western Reserve University, where I have developed a strong and rigorous foundation in subjects ranging from calculus and linear algebra to advanced physics. My academic training has emphasized deep conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and precise problem-solving, which I bring directly into my tutoring. Because I actively use these subjects in my own coursework, I am very comfortable explaining material from first principles and guiding students step by step until they feel confident working independently.

My tutoring experience began in high school, where I worked with school administrators to help provide academic support to students who lacked access to adequate educational resources. In that setting, I worked with peers in both one-on-one and small group environments, primarily focusing on mathematics. I learned how to adjust explanations based on different learning styles, break down complex ideas into manageable steps, and build students’ confidence alongside their skills. I genuinely enjoy teaching and take pride in creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
In addition to subject tutoring, I have prepared students for standardized exams such as the ACT and SAT. My students have achieved scores of 30 and above on the ACT, reflecting my focus on both content mastery and strategic test-taking approaches. I work with middle and high school students, and I particularly enjoy helping younger learners build strong mathematical foundations that will support them in advanced coursework. My goal as a tutor is not only to improve grades and test scores, but to help students develop lasting confidence and a genuine understanding of the material.
