I'm Allison! I am a seasoned math teacher with experience teaching in the classroom for grades 5-8 for 15 years. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education with focus areas of math and science. I continued my education at Bellarmine University to earn a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy helping students grow their confidence and their academic ability. I acknowledge that math is often times a challenge to students in the middle grades and find it to be enjoyable to help students find their own love of math.

I have worked in a tutoring capacity through the school districts where I have been employed and privately. My experience has allowed me to work with students from first grade all the way to tenth grade. I have a deep, conceptual understanding of mathematics and how the standards align from one grade-level to the next, which allows me to help students build skill gaps and move forward. I enjoy using hands-on methods, visuals, and conceptual models to help students achieve a greater understanding.

My goal is to share the love of learning and learning math with all of my students. While I enjoy the challenge of differentiating instruction for a classroom full of students at varying degrees of understanding, my motivation to tutor students stems from the enjoyment of tailoring learning intentionally for individual students or small groups.
