In high school I scored a 5 on the AP English Literature Exam as well as a 36 on the reading portion of the ACT. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Secondary Education with a minor in Spanish from the University of Miami. I have taught middle school English Language Arts for ten years as a general classroom teacher and since college have tutored students sixth grade through twelfth grade.
My goals as a teacher and a tutor are not just about improving students grades and test scores, but also about fostering and nurturing students' confidence and growth mindset to take skills they learn beyond our lessons and tutoring sessions.
I offer personalized tutoring for middle school and high school students in English, reading, writing, as well as test prep in those subjects.
My students have shown significant growth in their grades and test scores. I work hard to make lessons engaging, focused, with tangible skills you can apply beyond our sessions.
