I've taught philosophy at local universities for the last several years. My classes are heavy on reading, comprehension, analysis, and composition, and I help my students through every step of each of these processes.
When I assign a paper, I provide students with a rough outline structure to help organize their thoughts. I also offer students aid in writing and refining their thesis statements, and I offer to discuss their outlines with them individually to provide constructive, encouraging feedback. Not every student in a class will take advantage of the extra help I offer, but those who do are always appreciative and always produce higher quality work.
While my education is in philosophy (primarily moral and political theory), I'm quite proficient in all aspects of English (grammar, literature, composition). I'm also proficient in logic, critical thinking, math, government, and social studies.
