Hello! My name is Josh M. and I am a 5th grade teacher located in Southeastern Ohio. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2018, and during my time there I refined my pedagogy into a unique style that tries to reach students in their own individual way. Every student is capable of learning anything and mastering any skill, but they must have a teacher who is flexible and ready to serve their unique mind.
Most of my teaching experience has been with 5th grade students, but I have also worked with students ranging from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade. I've spent 6 years teaching in district sponsored after school and summer school programs, and I get a great deal of satisfaction watching students grow and learn through a difficult concept. Nearly every student I have worked with has grown at least one grade level in the time they were with me.
I believe my talents lie in my ability to encourage my students, as well as my capacity for content knowledge. Every teacher begins their education career as a learner, and those who continue to learn become master teachers and change lives.
