I have been a nurse for almost 30 years and a nursing educator for 18 years. My educational background includes a BS in Biology, an MSN with a concentration in Women's Health, and a DNP specializing in Nursing Educational Leadership. I have a varied work history in nursing, including obstetrics, gynecology, post-operative surgical nursing, high-risk labor and delivery, research, case management, and educating nursing students both "in person" and online. Some courses I have taught include Maternal-Child Health, Pharmacology, Nursing Foundations, Evidence-Based Practice, and Health Assessment. Additionally, I have taught Health and Wellness, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Anatomy and Physiology. Prior to nursing school, I worked as a lab assistant in a Molecular Physiology and Biophysics lab at Vanderbilt University.

My mission is to support students to work to the best of their ability and achieve their goals! My student-centered approach maintains the focus solely on students and their individual learning needs and styles. My teaching style is relaxed, flexible, and responsive in order to create a positive learning experience.
