While he considers MCAT tutoring his specialty, he also loves tutoring various college Biology and Biochemistry Courses and Chemical Engineering courses, as well as freshman level Physics, Math through Calculus, and General Chemistry courses.
Athan has worked before as a Thermodynamics Teaching Assistant, which is one of his favorite courses to teach. He knows a great tutor is also a great coach and is always excited his constant physch for learning creates a contagious motivation!
Athan has taken and earned great grades in Calc 1, Calc 2, and advanced engineering math including Calc 3.
Athan's broad science background, which included an Honors Degree in Chemical Engineering and an additional Degree in Biology was completed within 4 years. His broad science background means he can take an interdisciplinary approach and understands the global scale and significance of each subject.
Athan recently (2017) took the MCAT and achieved a 100th percentile score (524), including a perfect score on the Pysch/Soc section. More importantly, his background as a TA means he can communicate his knowledge and study patterns, as well as proven tips for performing under pressure. Most importantly, he knows how to adapt to each students needs and strengths.
