Hi! I'm Kadin, a recent graduate of Ashland University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. I completed my degree in three years while following a pre-medical curriculum and developed a strong background in biology, general and organic chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, genetics, and calculus. I was also recognized with the Excellence in Chemistry Award at Ashland University and an outstanding student award in Calculus. My academic background has given me extensive experience working through challenging science material and understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing answers.
Although I have not held an official tutoring position, I have spent significant time informally tutoring other college students at Ashland University. Students from my class and the class below me regularly asked for help with General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, and Biochemistry. I often spent several hours working with students at no charge, helping them prepare for exams, work through practice problems, and understand concepts they were struggling with. My approach is patient and focused on breaking complicated concepts into manageable parts and finding different ways to explain something when it does not initially make sense.
I also have experience working in a hospital as a patient care technician, which has strengthened my communication skills and reinforced my interest in science and healthcare. I can work with high school and college students in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, microbiology, genetics, related subjects, and Calculus I. Whether a student is preparing for an exam, struggling with a concept, or trying to improve their understanding, my goal is to create a comfortable environment where they can ask questions and build confidence. I want students to understand the "why" behind a concept so they can apply it independently rather than simply memorize an answer.
