I graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a 3.75 GPA. I loved how my professors made me feel at home during their instruction. Their styles drew you into the subject and made me feel like I wanted to learn more. If I had questions, they were always there to help either after class or during their office hours. My tutoring approach will take the best of what I learned from them and provide it in a teachable way to my prospective students....
My tutoring approach will take the best of what I learned from them and provide it in a teachable way to my prospective students. I will make individual lessons based on each student's needs and teach the material to them in a way enabling them to learn the concepts as they go along. After that, I will allow time for students to practice the material and ask questions. My methods can be altered based on the student's individual needs. The subjects that I can tutor are Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus and Chemistry. This is my first venture into tutoring and I am looking to build my strategy and improve my methods as I help prospective students. I require a cancellation notice if a student cannot attend a lesson. I work as a Design Engineer for a successful automotive company that is one of Honda's largest suppliers. I loved taking college Math and Science classes and learned a lot. During my college career, I understood the material and then was able to help fellow classmates figure out and solve the problems that we were assigned. My classmates always said to me that I was able to help them find solutions and understand the problems in a different way that they were not getting before. In conclusion, I want to give back in order to share my knowledge and experiences so I can teach the younger generation. I want to help students reach and further their educational goals. I will assist them as much as I can so they can go beyond what they think they can do to power the world in the next generation to come. I welcome any suggestions that students and their parents can provide in order for me to become better.
