Hi. I'm Ahmed. I graduated from Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Currently, I am a Graduate Student at Arizona State University, pursuing my Master's Degree in Computer Science. I am almost done with the program and have maintained a CGPA of 3.67 so far.

From high school, I realized that anything is made enjoyable and interactive by two things: the teacher's knowledge of the subject and the approach towards teaching. Throughout my university, I struggled with being interested in courses because my teachers were more focused on running through the course with emphasis on self-learning rather than ensuring the lecture was understood by students. What made it worse was the instructors' lack of interest to captivate the student's attention and interest. After all, students find most subjects dry, boring, and tedious.

This pattern repeated itself throughout my undergraduate program. Therefore it was not unnatural for me to fantasize about how each course could be taught in a way that would make students eager to attend the class rather than contemplate skipping it altogether, only to attend the class due to attendance regulations. Motivated by this, I took it upon myself to learn the material and help my classmates understand the concepts that were so poorly explained in the class. Their positive feedback and encouragement kept me going and ultimately became my source of inspiration to start teaching. After all, I could now take the worst things that I had learned about teaching, improve on them, and use the improvements to help others who have been through the same scenario. I would also like to point out that I have had the pleasure of taking classes where instructors were so good that they were also a source of inspiration for becoming a teacher.
