I grew up in Erie, PA and moved to Ohio in 2012. I have always enjoyed teaching art to all age groups. I graduated from Penn State University in 2007 with my BFA in Drawing/Painting/Illustration. Since graduation, I have been active in the art world getting involved in group shows as well as solo shows.
I work for a local company in a creative position so I am constantly immersed in art and creativity. I enjoy sharing what I have learned with others.

I believe I have the natural ability to teach. I feel I can connect with the student and meet them wherever they are with their abilities. In High School I was part of the SPAVA program (School for Performing and Visual Arts) where I spent many hours each day drawing and preparing for my time in college. In college I was able to build on my skills by studying Painting, Drawing, Illustration, and many other mediums. I also took many graphic design courses as well as teaching classes. I feel I am fully prepared to teach art to anyone at any skill level.

I would love to help you really master your skill and to look at art in many different forms. I have had some good and bad art teachers and I know what encouraged creativity and what did not. I will purpose to help you grow and show great improvement. I believe my experiences will ultimately enable me to be the art teacher you will love while learning a lot at the same time!
